Not really related to the Moptops, but here's an episode to go along with the song:
Episode 2: All mops are bastards
Rita finds the sad news that their son Billy has been arrested for dealing drugs at the bowling alley and punched someone who called him a pinhead. Rita tries to hide it for Jimmy cause she just couldn't handle his reaction to his favorite son being a juvenile delinquent. One day Jimmy walks into Billys room and finds a "I hate cops" sticker on his wall and gives Billy a little talk about cops and how they are very nice people and without cops the world would be dangerous and criminals would walk the streets. Billy confesses to Jimmy about selling drugs and getting in a fight and Jimmy decided not to punish Billy as he would most likely have learned a valuable lesson.
lyrics
Verse 1
You say there's nothing left to do
than sittin' 'round watching the news
it's a call to action
and the only reaction
is doin' drugs and drinking booze
You heard the sound
it will drag you down
but you don't buy it
you will start a riot
and burn some place down to the ground
Chorus
You say a state of violence
is a factor in your movement
and that beating the shit out of your
past is a case of improvement
but it's not!
Verse 2
Life gave you lime
and you throw it all the time
you blew your top
and hit a cop
which was your start of a life of crime
You try to get away
from what you have you say
you're fed up with yourself
tried to be somebody else
and you think it's the only way
Chorus
You say that personality
is only an illusion
and that the creation of image
is the only solution
but it's not!
It's not!
Verse 3
You say you're in a trap
the land has lost the map
but the way is
how I can say this
you're full of crap
